Pagosa Srings 2013

Homeschooling in a travel trailer would be very different if we weren't on such a beautiful, family-friendly property!  Thank goodness for a horse, goat, turkeys, chickens, skunks, bats, fish, tetherball, badminton, and a guinea pig (the one rodent they pamper hilariously while the rest drive them insane).

The river and the rain have added to the excitement in our schedule with worming and homemade fishing poles.

But one thing I'm even more excited to see?  The color change!  Two large trees toward the entrance of the property have already turned a beautiful yellow!  WOOHOO!  About 5% of the Aspens have turned and you can see clumps along the hills during the drive to town.  I am SO EXCITED!  FALL!!!!!  SEASONS!!!  Really, this is something I've heard about, but in central Arizona, never really experienced.  Thankfully, the kids get their work done and tear outside to learn more than I could teach them!  Not sure what our day will look like when it is cold, snowing, or otherwise unfriendly to our current obsession with burrowing in bushes along the riverbank and packing picnics to eat among the dandelions and willows.  Did I mention I have seen MOSS and FERNS here???  So cool.
